BR Police make arrest in Mother's Day murder
BATON ROUGE- Police arrested a man, accused of killing a mother on Mother's Day.
Carlos Thomas, 37, is charged with first degree murder. Amanda McCullough, 31, was found dead on Iowa Street.
Police said McCullough had a restraining order placed on Thomas, whose DNA was found at the scene.
Thomas had been arrested sometime after the murder on May 12 for a burglary charge and was still in jail when the murder charges were added.
