BR dancers learn from celebrity instructors
BATON ROUGE - Two celebrity dance instructors made a stop in Baton Rouge to share their talents with young dancers.
Victor Smalley and Angel Armas are the coaches on a popular dance competition show, and they also have their own reality show, "Dance Moms Miami" on Lifetime Network.
Kennedy Walker, a dancer from Baton Rouge, says dance is an outlet for her.
"if I have something going on at school I'll come here. And dance makes me feel so much better. I feel like I can talk to my teachers, and moving just helps me so much." says Walker.
Julian Gyllory shares the same feelings. He says being in a room full of people with the same goals helps him strive to be better.
"Being here you're in a loving environment everybody wants the same thing. Everybody has the same dreams. It's just a whole other family you can lean on." said Gyllory.
The workshop with the dancers ended today at Tari's School of Dance on Perkins Road.
