BR celebrates Easter with Way of the Cross
BATON ROUGE- The Catholic Charities Diocese of Baton Rouge and St. Joseph Cathedral held the annual Way of the Cross in downtown Baton Rouge this morning.
It's a symbolic walk from St. Joseph's Cathedral to the capitol grounds and back remembering the passion of Christ.
People of different faiths particpated in the event and traveled a 14-station route that commemorated Good Friday.
Participant Angele Davis Kelley said of the event, "You have so many people that come together to celebrate the suffering of Jesus, what he went through and the love that he had for us, so that we could have everlasting life."
