Boyfriend arrested after girlfriend's deadly heroin overdose
BATON ROUGE- Police arrested a 30-year-old man and charged him with murder in connection with his girlfriend's deadly overdose late last year.
Brandon Eirick, 30, was arrested Monday on second degree murder charges in the death of Leah Hutchinson, 31. Police said the pair were found in a car, unresponsive on Florida Boulevard on December 18. They were taken to a hospital where Hutchinson died.
Investigators said she died from a heroin overdose.
