BATON ROUGE - Jeremy Williams is now called a hero by his family after saving his great-great-grandma's life.
Elorna Williams was suffering from a stroke when the 11-year-old went to check on her. After knocking on the door for a couple minutes to no answer, Jeremy knew something was wrong.
"Usually she'll just open the door and say hey, but this time she didn't," said Jeremy.
He climbed a 6-foot fence into the backyard to reach a back entrance to the house, where he managed to kick open a back door. When he found Williams he saw she wasn't acting well, so he called 911 and got her the help she needed.
His family now calls Jeremy a hero, and is thankful he was there to help her.
