BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers took to the field after embarrassing Yale Friday night, 19-0.

However, Saturday's win didn't come as easily as the night before.

Kyle Bouman(3-0) threw seven scoreless innings, the LSU bats found holes in the defense when they needed it, and the Tigers improved to 9-1 with a 3-0 shutout against the Bulldogs.

"Overall I thought the kids were bearing down and ready to play today," said head coach Paul Mainieri. "I thought we played a good focused game. We just ran up against a pitcher that was a challenge."
