Bottled water handed out to students after line break
FRENCH SETTLEMENT - Two schools near French Settlement had to give out bottled water to students after another boil order was issued to their water system.
Officials said a break in a water line happened this morning near the schools, which are on Highway 444 and Highway 16. Repairs were made, but a spokesperson for the water system said a boil advisory will have to be in effect until test results from samples can come back tomorrow.
The French Settlement water system suffers frequent enough problems that the school already had bottled water ready for students.
Late Tuesday, a second boil order was issued for a large area of town.
