Boosie attends high school graduation in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE- Months after he was released from Angola, the rapper known as Lil Boosie returned to the city to attend a graduation and be honored for helping kids walk across the stage.
Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, said he has changed since being in prison. He paid for graduation expenses for some students at Capitol High School.
"I got a good heart, you know," he told WBRZ News 2. "I like helping people."
However, he's not far from controversy. His concert in Gulfport was cancelled when promoters could not get a noise permit.
Hatch was released from Angola in March.
