Bond set for teen in school bomb plot
A teen who called himself a white supremacist was waiting for his parents in Alabama to post his $75,000 bond on charges he planned to attack classmates and a teacher with a bomb. Seventeen year old Derek Shrout did not speak during his initial court appearance on Monday in Seale. Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor says the teen was arrested after a teacher found a journal that appeared to describe the plot. Almost all the targets he named were black. If he makes bond, a judge ordered Shrout not to contact anyone at the school or use the Internet. He faces charges of attempted assault.
