Bond set for suspects in USM players shooting
Bond has been set at $1.5 million each for two people arrested as accessories in the shooting of three University of Southern Mississippi football players outside a
Hattiesburg nightclub Sunday.
Cleothus Wilkerson, 25 and Patricia L. Brown, 49, had their bond set at $500,000 on each of three
counts of accessory after the fact to aggravated assault.
No trial date has been set.
Martez Smith, Tim Green and Deddrick Jones were shot in the parking lot early Sunday morning after the club closed. The three players remain hospitalized.
Meanwhile, Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny DuPree said the city is temporarily suspending the operating license of the club.
The club's owner has 10 days to appeal and request a hearing
with the city council.
