WBRZ - Baton Rouge

The East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council will meet at 4 p.m. today to vote on placing the tax issue on the November 14th ballot. The tax-plan calls for nearly $901 million in spending on redevelopment and infrastructure improvements parish-wide. The tax proposal includes the "Alive" park on the river front, along with a number of interactive science exhibits themed after Louisiana ecology.
