Bond increased for teacher accused of AIDS exposure
HOUMA - A judge gave a million-dollar bond Friday to a teacher accused in Terrebonne Parish of exposing someone to AIDS.
Sheriff's deputies charged Derrick Nesby, 37, of New Orleans with intentional exposure to the AIDS virus Thursday.
Deputies arrested him the day before on suspicion of sleeping with a 16-year-old male student at H. L. Bourgeois High School in Gray, where Nesby taught and coached track.
Deputies said their investigation into Nesby is continuing.
