Bond hearing set for couple in man's slaying
A state judge will hear a motion to reduce bond for Monroe couple charged with second-degree murder on May 10.
Herbert Wayne Ruebin and Annette Florez Ruebin were arrested in December in the death of 71-year-old Howard Livingston.
Each defendant faces a $500,000 bond and both remain in jail.
Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies say Livingston was found in his home near Calhoun with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
He died from the wound five days later.
Police report says Ruebin used to be Livingston's girlfriend and was the last person to contact him before his death.
