Bombing suspect's widow wants his body released
PROVIDENCE RHODE ISLAND- The widow of one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects wants his body released by the Massachusetts medical examiner to his family. The lawyer for Katherine Russell says she wants Tamerlan Tsarnaev's body has met with law enforcement "for many hours over the past week." Tsarnaev died during a gun battle with authorities and police say he ran out of ammunition before his brother, 19-year-old Dzhokhar, dragged his body under a car while he got away. The medical examiner determined the cause of death but that remains private until his body is released and a death certificate is filed. He has relatives in the U.S., although his parents live in Russia.
