Bomb threat prompts evacuation at LSU
BATON ROUGE - An emergency text message was sent to students and faculty at LSU about a bomb threat on campus.
University officials say the campus is being evacuated.
No specific location has been identified and LSUPD is investigating.
There are 30,000 students, professors and university employees located on the campus.
Capt. Doug Cain of the Louisiana State Police says state police bomb technicians are on the scene. Cain says police are talking to their counterparts in states where university bomb threats were reported last week to determine whether there are similarities.
