BATON ROUGE - One man has been arrested after Baton Rouge Police and a bomb squad responded to a report of a suspicious package on Hermitage Drive on Thursday morning.

Patrick McAdams has been arrested on a terrorizing charge, according to BRPD.

Police said a suspicious package was thrown on top of a mail truck, however it was later discovered that it was a bag of unidentified debris that appeared to be trash. More details on the contents of the bag are expected to be released soon.

A nearby elementary school was on lockdown while BRPD investigated. Police said they took precautionary measures to examine the contents of the package.
