Body identified from 20 years ago
SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA- Police have identified a body that washed up on a beach in northern California 20-years ago. They used DNA from the badly decomposed corpse and crossed-indexed it with the FBI's system.
It's that of 17-year-old Cengiz Nuray who was last seen at Greyhound Rock Beach in 1995. He and some friends had been following the Grateful Dead band. A missing persons report was filed and a few months later the body was found down the coast in Monterey Bay. Last month, investigators sent the DNA to a state lab in hopes of solving the case.
