Body identified as mom of girl found dead in La.
The body of a woman found in Arizona has been positively identified as the mother whose daughter was found dead in Louisiana, in October.
The remains of 31-year-old Suellen Roberts were discovered last month in northwestern Arizona.
Roberts had a gunshot wound to her head, but there is still no exact cause of death.
Roberts and her daughter, Lexis Kaye Roberts were last seen with Thomas Steven Sanders over Labor Day weekend.
Sanders had been declared legally dead 16 years ago.
He has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping 12-year-old Lexis Roberts, but authorities continue their investigation to see whether Sanders is connected to the death of Suellen as well.
