Body believed to be missing mother found
SLIDELL - A dive team found what investigators believe to be the body of a missing Slidell mother Monday in a St. Tammany Parish waterway, according to the sheriff's office.
A department spokesperson said the dive team found a vehicle around noon in an Oak Harbor waterway, with a body inside. They said the vehicle matched the description of the one Crystal Friedman, 28, was driving when she was reported missing.
The sheriff's office said crews were still working to get the car out of the water Monday afternoon. The body was sent to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office for identification.
Friedman was reported missing Dec. 9. The sheriff's office said she went to a local bar to watch the Saints game the night before, and never made it home. She was last seen at a gas station on La 11.
