WATSON - Two bodies were found in the Amite River after Livingston Parish deputies say they drowned.

Deputies say Joshua Brantley, 26, and Philip White, 26, were tubing when they went missing on the Upper Amite in the Watson area. They were with a group of about 10 of their friends.

Officials say they found the bodies just after 6 p.m. about a half-mile from where they entered the water. The call came in to deputies at around 2 p.m. this afternoon.

The incident is still under investigation.
