Bodies of 2 sailors missing from race found on Alabama coast
DAUPHIN ISLAND, AL - The Coast Guard says the bodies of two boaters missing since a sailboat race turned tragic have been found on the Alabama coast.
Authorities say the bodies of 17-year-old Adam Clark of Mobile and 50-year-old Robert Thomas of Pickens, Mississippi, were found near Dauphin Island on Thursday.
One person remains missing, and three others were previously confirmed dead.
The six people were aboard sailboats on Saturday when a powerful storm struck during an annual sailboat race on Mobile Bay.
Authorities say they're starting an investigation into circumstances surrounding the race.
The Coast Guard is asking sailors to fill out a survey that includes a question about whether they knew of weather alerts before the storm.
