Boater pulled from Tickfaw River after accident in Livingston Parish

KILLIAN - First responders say one person was injured and another boater was pulled from the Tickfaw River after a boat struck a tree in Livingston Parish Saturday night.

The incident happened near Highway 22 and Tin Lizzy's Marina along the Tickfaw River around 10 p.m. Saturday. Sources tell WBRZ News 2 that one woman suffered a broken arm and first responders were searching the water for a second boater.

After a brief search, the man was pulled from the river around 10:10 p.m. First responders have not released the condition of the second boater at this time.

Acadian Ambulance Airmed is on scene.
