BRENHAM, Texas - Another flavor of Blue Bell ice cream is returning to store shelves in the form of Chocolate Chip.

The resurgent ice cream company broke the news on Twitter on Monday.

"A chip off the old chocolate block! Chocolate Chip Ice Cream returns to stores this week in the half gallon size.”

Last week, Blue Bell said its Strawberry ice cream would be back on shelves.

Blue Bell was off grocery shelves for several months because of a listeria outbreak in 2015. The company had to remove all products, as well as disinfect the factories before bringing a select number of flavors back to stores.
