Bishop Robert Muench to undergo two surgeries
BATON ROUGE- Bishop Robert Muench announced today he will undergo two surgeries in the next two months.
The first will take place Tuesday to correct an irregular heartbeat.
The second will take place in June to remove a benign nodule.
Muench made the announcement during morning mass at St. Joseph's Cathedral. He asked for prayers, but said this illness will help him empathize with the sick and be grateful to God for his medical staff.
The Diocese of Baton Rouge said Doctors have asked people not to visit him as he recovers.
