Bills to overhaul early childhood education advance
BATON ROUGE- Two bills that would overhaul the state's early childhood education programs are advancing through the capitol.
The full Senate approved SB 581. The House education committee approved HB 933. Supporters say both bills require BESE to set goals for children to make them more kindergarten ready.
