BATON ROUGE- A senate committee approved a bill dealing with what's commonly known as "Murderabilia."
Senator Yyvonne Dorsey-Colomb filed the bill.
Her family has close ties to a victim of serial killer Derrick Todd Lee. Two sketches by Lee recently showed up for sale online.
Dorsey-Colomb's bill would split any profits a death row inmate makes among his or her victims.
The bill will now be considered by the full senate.
