Bigger, better improvements for Downtown BR in 2015
BATON ROUGE - The Downtown Development District saw plenty of improvements last year, but they've got even bigger plans in 2015.
Over the weekend, crews put the finishing touches on some walkways from North Blvd. to Florida. 300 units are also under construction to bring more residents to the area. The entry way to the levee on Florida is taking shape and is expected to be completed next month. The entrance to the 6 mile path is designed for walker and cyclists and is wheelchair accessible.
The DDD is expected to announce even more improvements at their meeting this morning at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capital Center. News 2's Rebecca Buchanan was LIVE in downtown this morning on 2une In to preview the meeting and show you some of the improvements.
