BATON ROUGE - Traffic officials closed one side of I-110 in Baton Rouge after a wreck involving an 18-wheeler Sunday night.

The wreck happened on I-110 North at Government Street around 8 p.m. and involved the big rig and a second vehicle, according to Baton Rouge Police.

Authorities closed the interstate in that direction until they could open one lane to let people past the site of the wreck. Congestion behind the wreck was backed up past I-110 and I-10, and the highway was reopened around 9:30 p.m.

EMS said there were no injuries reported from the scene.
