Big rig tangle caps day of delays for I-10 West
BATON ROUGE - Traffic congestion continued to be an issue through rush hour in Baton Rouge Tuesday after a trio of big rigs blocked one lane of I-10 West.
The Department of Transportation and Development said the incident happened on I-10 West just before Dalrymple Drive. News 2 crews in the area said the trucks were stopped on the inside lane over the City Park Lakes.

DOTD said traffic was passing through the center and right lanes, but congestion was back past Bluebonnet Boulevard on I-10 and Essen Lane on I-12.
Authorities said the three trucks were part of a group heading through the city when the first truck broke down. The other two trucks stopped with the lead truck until it was towed.
The blockage comes after a day of delays along I-10 West, starting when an 18-wheeler overturned on the LA 1 exit ramp at Port Allen. That backed up westbound traffic through the city-parish.
The truck was removed just before 1 p.m., but the congestion remained into the evening rush.
