Bianka Bell delivers walk-off in 9th, LSU softball moves on to Super Regional
BATON ROUGE - Bianka Bell delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th inning against Arizona State, lifting the Tigers to a 4-3 win and giving LSU a place in the Super Regional round next week.
The Tigers needed to win 2 games against the Sun Devils on Sunday, and they did just that, getting a 5-0 win in game 6 of the Baton Rouge regional, and coming back 30 minutes later to defeat the team that sent the Tigers to the losers bracket on Saturday.
The Sun Devils took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the 7th, but LSU got the run it needed to extend the game, as Bailey Landry got an RBI that tied the game at 3.
The Tigers now advance to the Baton Rouge Super Regional, where LSU will host either Arizona or Minnesota next weekend.
