Belle Rose murder suspect has long rap sheet
BELLE ROSE- Assumption Parish court records indicate Dean Hue, Sr., has a long rap sheet. The charges include drug distribution and attempted murder. Now he is a suspect in the death of his great-aunt, 84-year-old Anna Mae Hildalgo.
Hidalgo's body was found in Rocky Canal Monday after her family reported her missing over the weekend. Assumption Parish Sheriff's deputies arrested Hue, Raven Blanchard and a 12-year-old boy in connection with her death. The boy is not being identified because of his age, but authorities say he did play a role in the murder.
News 2 pulled Assumption court records on Hue. They indicate he was arrested nine times dating back to 1998 for more than a dozen felony charges. He was convicted twice. Many of the cases were dismissed or never prosecuted.
Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack says Hidalgo's late husband was a retired LA State Trooper. He says the victim lived a beautiful life and did not deserve this sad ending.
No bond has been set for the suspects. Sheriff Waguespack says it will be up to the district attorney to determine if he will seek the death penalty for the adult suspects. The 12-year-old can not be tried as an adult because of his age.
