Belle Rose man accused of molesting juvenile
BELLE ROSE - Sheriff's deputies have arrested an Ascension Parish man in suspicion of molesting a juvenile in Belle Rose.
Sheriff Mike Waguespack said deputies arrested Isaih Lewis, 34, late Friday night after he said the alleged victim told investigators Lewis had been molesting him for some time.
Waguespack said deputies had received a complaint that a juvenile was being harassed in the Belle Rose area, and investigators learned he'd been the victim of ongoing sexual abuse.
He said the alleged victim told them he was asked to and performed sexual activities with Lewis several times, and had recently stopped late last year. He said Lewis told him that if he told anyone Lewis would hurt him.
Lewis was booked into the parish jail in suspicion of having carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Bond had not been set as of Monday afternoon.
