Belle Chasse HS students face drug charges
BELLE CHASSE- Plaquemines Parish sheriff's deputies say a Belle Chasse High School sophomore was booked with illegal possession of prescription pills and two other sophomores were booked with distributing pills at the school.
Deputies tell The Times-Picayune the students are all 15. The sheriff's office has not publicly identified them because they are juveniles.
Deputies say they received a tip about drug activity at the school Tuesday and searched one of the boys. That search turned up four prescription pills identified as Vyvanse and Concentra, pills used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The drugs are classified as schedule II controlled dangerous substances.
