Belk to start Juban Crossing work in Feb.
LIVINGSTON - Department store retailer Belk said construction on their anchor store for the planned Juban Crossing development in Livingston Parish will begin in February 2014.
The North Carolina-based company announced Wednesday the $7 million, 75,000 square foot store would reflect the latest in both modern and Southern styles.
Construction at Juban Crossing has been delayed several times do to funding issues. Developer Stephen Keller with Creekstone Companies said in October they had enough funding to start utility and horizontal work.
The first phase of the project includes a 14-screen movie theater, national chain restaurants and a drugstore. It's scheduled to open in October 2014, and Belk said today their opening was also scheduled for fall 2014.
