WEST MONROE, La. - West Monroe police booked a man with fourth-offense DWI after another driver reported that he lifted a beer in salute, then wove off and onto the road.
The sheriff's office website showed 32-year-old Larry C. Baker of Chatham was in jail Monday in lieu of $28,250 bond.
He was arrested Saturday afternoon on four charges, including driving with a license suspended for previous DWI charges.
Police told The News-Star that the driver who reported Baker saw him run off the road twice, once nearly hitting a railroad safety arm support.
Police said they found Baker at a red light.
Police had to get a warrant to take blood.
It was not clear whether Baker had an attorney.
