Beauty queen pleads guilty over riot
A former beauty queen who was one of the highest profile participants in the Vancouver, Canada Stanley Cup riots in 2011 pleaded guilty for her role. Sophie Laboissooiere took part in the riot after the Vancouver Canucks lost in the National Hockey League final. She was not in court when her lawyer entered her plea. She was quickly identified as one of the rioters because she was the winner of Miss Congeniality in a Vancouver beauty pageant. Details of what she did during the riot will come out when she's sentenced later this year. A charge of breaking and entering was dropped in her case.
