SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH- A beauty contest winner and three of her friends took a plea deal after riding around and tossing homemade bottle bombs from a car.

The plastic bottles were filled with toilet bowl cleaner and reacted with aluminum foil to explode.

Kendra McKenzie Gill and the other 18-year-olds pleaded guilty to attempted possession of a chemical device, a misdemeanor.

They were originally charged with a felony.

Their charges will be dismissed after they do 200 hours of community service and pay a $500 fine.

Gill was Miss Riverton, a suburb of Salt Lake City. She resigned her title after her arrest.
