Bayou Corne commission seeks normalcy
BAYOU CORNE, La. - The Blue Ribbon Commission on Bayou Corne Safety released what it thinks should be done for the community of Bayou Corne.
The commission highlighted three major things that need to happen for the mandatory evacuation to be lifted:
-gas pressure near the sinkhole needs to be maintained
-homes need indoor monitoring equipment for gases
-hydrogen sulfide gas needs to be at safe levels.
Despite homes being bought out by Texas Brine, the commission will look at 3D seismic results and check into what can be done to get the community back to some sort of normalcy. A community meeting is planned for next month.
