Baton Rouge teens arrested in Houma ice cream theft
HOUMA - Police say three Baton Rouge teens and a Houma 10-year-old were arrested for allegedly stealing ice cream from a Houma school.
The Courier reports the trio persuaded a 10-year-old boy to climb through a Lisa Park Elementary window Sunday and take the treats from the school's concession stand.
Authorities say 19-year-old Carvis Kaigler, two 17-year-olds and the 10-year-old were booked with simple burglary. Kaigler faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
If convicted of simple burglary, the teens face a fine of up to $2,000 and up to 12 years in prison. Contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile carries a maximum $1,000 fine and two years in prison.
