Baton Rouge teen injured in Colo. movie shooting
BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge teen was among the people shot and injured in a Colorado movie theater, according to friends of her family.
Bonnie Kate Pourciau was shot in the knee while at the midnight premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora, Colo., according to multiple sources.
A gunman identified as James Holmes, 24, killed 12 people and injured 50 in the shooting rampage. Police said he was heavily armed with a gas mask, assault rifle, a shotgun and two pistols.
Pourciau was on a church trip passing through area when the shooting happened, according to friends of her family. Another Baton Rouge resident, Elizabeth Sumrall, was in the theater with her but was not injured.
Sumrall posted on her Facebook wall last night: "Going to see The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado with BonnieKate Pourciau!"
Pourciau is in surgery and her family are on their way to Colorado.
