Baton Rouge man sentenced to life for murder
BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge man will spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering a man during a robbery.
Aaron Taylor was sentenced on the charge of 2nd degree murder today in 19th Judicial District Court. He was also sentenced for 3 counts of armed robbery.
Prosecutors say the victim, John Calvert, was with a group of people on Aster Street last June when they were approached by Taylor and Mohammed Collins.
Calvert was shot and killed during the robbery.
Collins was sentenced to life in August.
