Baton Rouge man accused of sexually assaulting teen on multiple occasions
BATON ROUGE - A man has been charged with multiple counts of sexual battery after he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old on two different occasions.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, 20-year-old Maurice Reddick was arrested after he sexually assaulted the teen at an acquaintance's home in August.
The victim told police that Reddick had sex with her on two different occasions, both times at her home while her mother was away. On both occasions, the victim told police that Reddick had locked the door to her mother's bedroom while the two were inside.
Police say the victim's family discovered the two after her siblings knocked on the locked door and received no response, prompting them to find an adult.
Statements from the victim, her family, and medical examinations led Reddick's arrest, and he was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail Monday.
