Baton Rouge man accused of sexting teen
BATON ROUGE – Deputies say a 21-year-old Baton Rouge man was accused of having sex with and sending a sexually explicit photo to a teenager in December.
Investigators said on Dec. 6, the mother of a 16-year-old victim contacted East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office after she found an explicit photo on her daughter’s phone.
Deputies said the daughter identified 21-year-old Demerkus Joe Wiltz, her brother’s friend, as the man in the photo.
According to EBRSO, the victim told deputies that she was talking to Wiltz since she was 14-years-old but did not have sex until she was 16. She said they only had sex once and after that time Wiltz has sent her explicit photos.
Investigators said they tried to set up multiple interviews with Wiltz but he did not show up.
A warrant was issued for Wiltz’s arrest on Dec. 28. He charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile Friday.
