Baton Rouge contractor to remain independent
BATON ROUGE - Managers with the Turner Industries Group announced today that they would continue to remain an independent, family-owned company.
"Insuring the long-term legacy of the Turner name, as well as maintaining the company's commitment to its employees, clients and the community, led to the decision," said CEO Roland Toups in a statement issued today.
Turner managers had said late last year that they were exploring the company's options to ensure future success.
Turner Industries is one of the largest maintenance contractors in the U. S., with headquarters in Baton Rouge and more than 17,000 workers at facilities across the Gulf South.
