Gamblers brought in $16.2 million in winnings from Baton Rouge's two state-licensed riverboat casinos during the month of August, according to numbers released by Louisiana State Police.
Despite the amount of winnings, gamblers at the Belle of Baton Rouge lost an average of $81.91 during their visits, while those at Hollywood Casino lost an average of $101.73.
The two casinos combined to lure in close to 175,000 visitors during the month of August.
