City-Parish officials are reopening the Woodland Ridge Boulevard bridge over Jones Creek at approximately 6 p.m. this evening.
The bridge, which provides primary access to Episcopal High School, was closed to traffic for repairs on Monday, Sept. 12, after DOTD bridge inspectors found several critical deficiencies in the structure.
The repairs have been completed, but the bridge must remain subject to a maximum load of 5 tons until the city-parish performs the required post-repair inspection and structural rating calculation, and transmits that information to DOTD, according city-parish Public Works Chief Engineer Jim Ferguson.
