Baton Rouge begins collecting Christmas trees Thursday
BATON ROUGE- Beginning Thursday, the day after Christmas, people can leave their Christmas trees at drop sites to be recycled.
In a week, crews will begin collecting trees from the curb. Trees will be processed into mulch.
Curbside collection runs from January 6-18. Sites are open from December 26-January 31.
Independence Park, Highland Road Park, Kathy Drive Park, Flannery Road Park, the Pecue Wood Recycling Facility (6455 Pecue), and the lot across from LSU's vet school will be accepting the trees.
