Baton Rouge area tax service shut down
BATON ROUGE- Larry Dixon has been permanently barred from operating his tax service company by the federal government.
Dixon's Tax Service operated two offices in Baton Rouge and one in Gonzales. A federal judge signed an injuntion against the company after investigators say they filed bogus returns that benefitted some customers, but cost the United States an estimated $39 million.
Dixon told News Two he agreed to the injunction, but did not admit to the allegations against him. He did say he should have supervised his employees more to avoid certain problems.
Dixon says a company may be buying his business, and he is considering other business ventures.
