Baton Rouge apartment fire remains under investigation
BATON ROUGE- A massive apartment fire in Baton Rouge remains under investigation this afternoon.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Turner Plaza Apartments in the 4500 block of North Street. The fire happened on the second floor, but investigators say it is too early to say what caused the blaze. One person was taken to the hospital.
Turner Plaza is a Council on Aging site, and a number of elderly and residents with disabilities live there.
Electricity has been turned off and the entire complex has been evacuated. The Red Cross has been called to assist residents.
