Baseball, bets, and brewing to collide at Super Regional
BATON ROUGE - Two lawmakers and some Louisiana brew will be just one of the things on the line during this weekend's Super Regional between LSU and UL-Lafayette.
Rep. Garrett Graves from Baton Rouge and Rep. Charles Boustany from Lafayette agreed on Twitter to a friendly wager over the outcome of the showdown between the Tigers and Ragin' Cajuns.
Boustany put up some Canebrake from Broussard-based Parish Brewing Co. if the Ragin' Cajuns make it to Omaha, while Graves put up Tin Roof Brewing Co.'s craft beers from Baton Rouge if the Tigers take the series.
LSU and UL-Lafayette will play Saturday evening at 7 p.m. in Baton Rouge to start the Super Regional.
